ArcX had acquired the PXI and LabVIEW licenses from Testforce to complete all the development in-house for multiple production line testers for an EV manufacturer. As their project progressed and the need for more flexibility on short notice arose, ArcX reached out to Testforce who recommended speaking with Synovus Solutions about their Symplify Now! software for NI Real-Time targets.

Shortly after starting the evaluation, ArcX acquired a high-performance, fully customizable and open solution in that could integrate seamlessly with their other systems. This saved them months of development while keeping the core development in house and being able to rely on Synovus’ engineers as required.

We recently partnered with Synovus on a complex test automation project involving National Instruments PXIe hardware and LabVIEW at ARCX Inc. They exceeded our expectations in every way.

Their framework delivered seamless integration with our PXIe test station and LabVIEW environment, while enabling us to write all the core business and testing logic in Python. This was a huge advantage over traditional LabVIEW schematic methods. The Python integration was straightforward to get started with — we could run scripts directly from the UI and easily interface with NI hardware values. This approach saved us tremendous time during development and gave us a much more flexible, maintainable solution for the long term.

The software tools themselves proved extremely valuable for development and debugging:

• The Graphing page helped us quickly identify edge cases, visualize inrush current, and pinpoint exact motor start times with timestamps.
• The Counter page made it easy to manually adjust counters and see Python scripts update them in real time.
• Tag monitoring was very effective for general debugging.

What truly set Synovus apart was their outstanding support and professionalism. Despite the time zone difference, the team was highly responsive and always deadline-conscious. They provided helpful guides (such as the RAD Utility Guide), joined late-night debugging sessions, and remained proactive throughout — anticipating needs before we even raised them. They even set up an ActiveCollab project board (ARC120) for transparency without being asked.

A standout example was their work on LIN testing. Instead of just delivering results, they walked us through the frame-level details, ensuring real knowledge transfer. When we hit issues, the team quickly diagnosed a wiring problem rather than chasing integration bugs, saving us significant time and getting the system (with LEDs functioning correctly) into the workflow fast.

The team demonstrated strong technical depth, clear communication, and a genuine ownership mindset — treating our project as their own. Their iterative, small-block testing approach allowed us to adapt quickly to changes, and their attention to detail ensured deliverables were met on time.
